In this podcast I talk about why it is critical to select a proper micro-niche for your business and if not done correctly, it might lead to a lot of frustration and anxiety issues for an entrepreneur.
When I started my business on Jan 1st, 2018, I had very little idea about what I am actually going to do. The notice period was spent just finishing up pending work, handing over things, and other tiny projects. I hadn’t really thought about what I would actually be doing as an entrepreneur.
But as soon as I started by business from home, I set a goal of making Rs.1 Lakh per month. I was very very nervous about this new journey. The thoughts of whether I would make it or not were worrying me. The thought of what if I don’t were stressing me out but I knew I could not entertain such thoughts on day 1 and immediately got down to business (literally π )
Since I was freshly PMP certified, I decided to look for opportunities as a PMP trainer. To be honest with you, I had committed to God that if I passed my PMP certification, I would help others get PMP certified. π
It had worked and very easily (without even reading the PMBOK guide (neither 5th edition nor 6th), I had managed to get PMP certified. So now, I thought it was my job to pay it back. So I wrote to about 65 PMP training institutes in India (I got their emails from the PMI website) and offered them my services as a trainer. I didn’t hear back from any of them except 4-5 and out of those 5, only 1 was a project opportunity.
